Mack's Inn Dinner TheaterThe other day on the way back from picking up some parts in Rexburg, My wife and I found ourselves passing Mack's Inn just in time for the evening dinner and show. On a whim we stopped to see if by chance they had any seats for the night show, the did but not for the dinner, my favorite part. Oh well we went on into West Yellowstone for dinner and then went to the late showing of Pirates of the Caribbean. Once again it is best to plan ahead and make reservations in advance. I have yet to see either of the two shows playing this year. I've always wanted to see he Pirates of Penzance ever since Linda Ronstadt performed in it many years ago. The other Play "Trouble Across the Pond" I understand was written by a cast member. We plan to see both of these of these later in the summer. DinnerMick's Inn serves a complete Prime Rib dinner starting at 6:30. I must admit Prime Rib is my favorite plate, there is nothing better then a good prime rib dinner, and the one served when we made it last summer was excellent. The Cast members work to seat and help serve the guest before the show. Dinner is (or was) a buffet type setup, where each person has to go get there food, which is served by a crew member. After you are seated and everyone has been served if there are leftovers, the crew ill mingle through the crowd offering the leftovers to anyone who looks like they could use them. When we went Last Year there was leftover Prime Rib, so My wife and I enjoyed seconds, Or to be more honest, I enjoyed seconds and thirds (which were first dished to my wife). The TheaterThe show last year was superbly performed. The cast members did a wonderful job, and I can and have highly recommended it to guests here at the Wild Rose. Kevin went to see Trouble Across the pond, he says it was excellently done and that he can highly recommend it. My wife and I went to see Pirates of Penzance, the cast could not have done a better job with it, but it was just not the kind of show we enjoy. Nothing against the crew, we would have just rather seen them perform a different program. For Reservations call (208) 558-7871. Mack's Inn is located on North Highway 20 in Island park about 15 minutes from the Wild Rose, the theater is on the Big Springs road about 1/2 block from Highway 20.
