ATV "QUADS" Trail Riding in Island Park

Just as Island Park and West Yellowstone share some of the greatest snowmobile trails in the country, so do they also share some of the greatest ATV trails.  In fact many of these snowmobile trails are also accessible to ATVs.

Trail Review

I have had a lot of people ask about ATV riding in the area.  Some months ago, I added a Map of the ATV trails to the website, but the map can only show so much.  So I have taken the opportunity to ride one of the trails and make a report on it.  As time passes I will do more riding and report on each area.  Looks like I've discovered a great excuse to leave work and go out and play. :)

Please note:

Operators of all off highway vehicles within Fremont County (excluding snowmobiles) must operate their off highway vehicles with a red or orange safety flag, that is a minimum of six (6) by twelve (12) inches, attached to the vehicle at least eight (8) feet above the surface of level ground.

Failure to do so shall constitute an infraction (a potential fine of $75.00)

Please note this ordinance applies to ALL of Fremont County not just the Sand Dunes area.
